Today is Charles Webster Leadbeater's birthday – possibly. A wonderful occasion to open his new archive.

I put the original archive online exactly one year ago, on his last birthday. At that time, I deliberately chose a design that looked as if the internet had already existed in 1910: black and white, angular, simple, and almost a little rudimentary. However, this design idea was hardly understood. That is why I have now completely revised the archive and given it a contemporary, colorful look.

I have also restored his photographs, improved their quality, and carefully colored them. This makes them appear more vivid and closer – almost present.

I am now making this new archive available to the public. It is the result of many hours of work, research, and care. Ongoing operation also incurs costs. Nevertheless, access should remain free so that this valuable knowledge is available to all interested parties. The archive is therefore financed on a donation basis—and I hope that some visitors will take advantage of this opportunity and support the project.

Happy birthday, Charly.

May your works continue to find their way to people.
