Today is Charles Webster Leadbeater's birthday – possibly. A wonderful occasion to open his new archive.

I put the original archive online exactly one year ago, on his last birthday. At that time, I deliberately chose a design that looked as if the internet had already existed in 1910: black and white, angular, simple, and almost a little rudimentary. However, this design idea was hardly understood. That is why I have now completely revised the archive and given it a contemporary, colorful look.

I have also restored his photographs, improved their quality, and carefully colored them. This makes them appear more vivid and closer – almost present.

I am now making this new archive available to the public. It is the result of many hours of work, research, and care. Ongoing operation also incurs costs. Nevertheless, access should remain free so that this valuable knowledge is available to all interested parties. The archive is therefore financed on a donation basis—and I hope that some visitors will take advantage of this opportunity and support the project.

Happy birthday, Charly.

May your works continue to find their way to people.

Wow, 24 hours later, I already have 800 downloads! It seems there are still people interested in CWL.

I receive the book “Die symbolische Bedeutung des Sterns” (“The Symbolic Meaning of the Star”), the German translation of one of his lectures, scan it, and put it online. I also add my scan of the book “Denen die Trauern” (“To Those Who Mourn”) to the archive. This text was already there, but is now available in better quality.

Another rare book by him in German has found its way into my hands: „Gespräche über Zu Füßen des Meisters“ (“Talks on At the Feet of the Master”) However, scanning it will take some time, as the book is quite thick.

After only eleven days, the new archive has already reached 5,370 page views and over 5,800 downloads! I am very happy.

The scan of „Gespräche über Zu Füßen des Meisters“ (“Talks on At the Feet of the Master”) is now complete. I scanned and edited nearly 700 pages of the book! This mammoth work is exactly 100 years old and now available for the world again here in the Archive.
