Today is Charles Webster Leadbeater's birthday – possibly. A wonderful occasion to open his new archive.

I put the original archive online exactly one year ago, on his last birthday. At that time, I deliberately chose a design that looked as if the internet had already existed in 1910: black and white, angular, simple, and almost a little rudimentary. However, this design idea was hardly understood. That is why I have now completely revised the archive and given it a contemporary, colorful look.

I have also restored his photographs, improved their quality, and carefully colored them. This makes them appear more vivid and closer – almost present.

I am now making this new archive available to the public. It is the result of many hours of work, research, and care. Ongoing operation also incurs costs. Nevertheless, access should remain free so that this valuable knowledge is available to all interested parties. The archive is therefore financed on a donation basis—and I hope that some visitors will take advantage of this opportunity and support the project.

Happy birthday, Charly.

May your works continue to find their way to people.

Wow, 24 hours later, I already have 800 downloads! It seems there are still people interested in CWL.

February 24, 2026
I receive the book “Die symbolische Bedeutung des Sterns” (“The Symbolic Meaning of the Star”), the German translation of one of his lectures, scan it, and put it online. I also add my scan of the book “Denen die Trauern” (“To Those Who Mourn”) to the archive. This text was already there, but is now available in better quality.

February 25, 2026
Another rare book by him in German has found its way into my hands: „Gespräche über Zu Füßen des Meisters“ (“Talks on At the Feet of the Master”) However, scanning it will take some time, as the book is quite thick.

After only eleven days, the new archive has already reached 5,370 page views and over 5,800 downloads! I am very happy.

The scan of „Gespräche über Zu Füßen des Meisters“ (“Talks on At the Feet of the Master”) is now complete. I scanned and edited nearly 700 pages of the book! This mammoth work is exactly 100 years old and now available for the world again here in the Archive.

Oops—I noticed that due to a technical error, the audiobooks could not be opened. The error has been fixed and the audiobooks are now available.

March 15, 2026
In less than a month, the archive had already been viewed over 10,000 times. Wow!

March 18, 2026
The English version of the archive now features a central overview page where users can quickly check whether a specific title is included in the collection. Given the large number of texts in the English version—numbering several hundred—this addition proved to be a useful addition. You can find it in the section "His works".

March 19, 2026
Leadbeater's books cover a wide range of topics. To make it easier to get started with his work, I have put together a page with recommended reading in the *His Works* section.

March 20, 2026
The German version of the archive now has another book by him in German translation called Das Leben im Jenseits (Life in the Hereafter), published in 1914.

March 21, 2026
I have just added five of his early works to the archive: book reviews he published in 1899 in the journal The Theosophical Review.

March 22, 2026
The archive now also includes a book by Leadbeater in Polish.

March 25, 2026
I've managed to track down another great book by him in German translation: Das Innere Leben, the first volume of his two-volume series The Inner Life. It can be found in the German section of the archive.

March 27, 2026
Until now, I only had a verbatim transcript of the book Grundlinien der Theosophie—the German translation of his book An Outline of Theosophy—in the archive. As of today, there is also an original scan of this book available here.

March 29, 2026
The archive now includes an additional 15 articles that he published in 1928 and 1929 in the journal The Australian Theosophist.

March 30, 2026
Two publications translated into Swedish have been added to *Books in other languages*.

In the “About Him” section, there's a new interview—this time even with a movie. It's with Freemasons and focuses on his book “The Hidden Life in Freemasonry”.

April 7, 2026
I found four more articles in German and added them to the German section; they are from the 1905 issue of the magazine „Neue Gedanken”.

April 9, 2026
CWL wrote a foreword for “Light on the Path”, a little book by Mabel Collins in which she wrote down ancient wisdom of the Masters. The German translation from 1926 can now be found alongside his other German works.

Among his books in other languages, there is now also “Ясновидение,” the Russian translation of his book “Clairvoyance”.
